India's retail inflation slipped to 1.55% in July from 2.10% in June, government data showed. "There's...decline of 55 basis points in...headline inflation of July, 2025, in comparison to June, 2025. It's the lowest year-on-year inflation rate after June 2017," said government. A decline of 75 basis points was observed in food inflation in July, 2025 in comparison to June, 2025.

11 die in accident while returning from Khatu Shyam temple in Raj

NPCI to stop allowing 'pull transactions' on UPI from October 1

NPCI, which runs UPI, has asked banks and payment apps to stop all peer-to-peer "pull transactions" from October 1 as part of its efforts to curb financial fraud.
