A food scientist at General Mills has developed ice cream that can hold its shape for hours, even in heat. It uses tannic acid, a type of polyphenol - plant-based antioxidant compounds. Tannic acid changes ice cream's structure by forming a protein network that keeps fat globules apart, preventing them from melting together and helping the dessert stay solid longer.

Air India lying: MP Venugopal as company refutes his claim on emergency landing in Chennai

Congress MP KC Venugopal, who claimed the Thiruvananthapuram-Delhi plane he was on came dangerously close to tragedy, said Air India was lying. Govt plans rule for restaurants to declare veg or non-veg menu before opening

The government is considering a rule requiring restaurants to declare whether they serve vegetarian or non-vegetarian food while applying for licence before opening, Livemint reported.
