Income-Tax Bill 2025 withdrawn
The government has formally withdrawn the Income-Tax Bill, 2025, introduced in Lok Sabha on February 13 to replace the 1961 Income-Tax Act. A revised version, incorporating most recommendations of the Baijayant Panda-led Select Committee, will be introduced in due course, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said.
