India dominated war despite Pak using Chinese arms: US expert

India went to war with a Chinese proxy (equipment) deployed by Pakistan during their recent conflict and dominated, according to John Spencer, a US Army veteran and warfare researcher. "This was a test of the Chinese military system....That’s about a lot of interest to a lot of people, especially since Beijing is Washington’s biggest geopolitical competitor," he added.

Tribunal revokes IPS officer’s suspension for Bengaluru stampede

The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has revoked the suspension of IPS Vikash Kumar Vikash, who was suspended as Additional Commissioner (West) after the Bengaluru stampede. The CAT also directed the government to review the suspension of two other officers involved in the case. CAT's order comes two days after the central government had approved the suspension of all three officers.

Shots fired at Radha Krishna Temple in Utah

The Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork, Utah came under attack in suspected hate crime. Over 20 bullets were fired at the temple and the surrounding property within the last few days, as per the leadership. Union Cabinet approves 'National Sports Policy 2025'

Union Cabinet has approved the 'Khelo Bharat Niti 2025' or 'National Sports Policy 2025'. The policy aims "to establish India as a global sporting powerhouse and a strong contender for excellence at International sporting events, including the 2036 Olympic Games," PIB said in a press release. World number two Carlos Alcaraz stopped his Wimbledon match against Fabio Fognini to help an elderly fan who had fainted in the crowd due to the heat. RCB responsible for gathering of 3-5 lakh people, police not god: Tribunal on stampede

Referring to the stampede that killed 11 outside Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium, the Central Administrative Tribunal observed that prima facie, RCB appears responsible for gathering of around three to five lakh people. It noted RCB failed to take necessary permission from police. Stating that "police aren’t god", CAT said they couldn’t be expected to make all arrangements within just 12 hours.

Centre launched Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme to incentivise creation of over 3.5 crore jobs over two years. Loneliness affects 1 in 6 people, linked to 100 deaths per hr: WHO

In a report, the WHO Commission on Social Connection revealed that loneliness affected nearly one in six people globally (2014–2023). As per the report, loneliness is linked to an estimated 100 deaths every hour, about 8,71,000 deaths annually between 2014 and 2019. The highest rate of loneliness was reported in individuals aged 13–29 years old, mostly among teenagers, it noted.

K'taka govt releases SOP for crowd control at events after B'luru stampede
