Mohali villagers say 'no' to Punjab's land pooling project

The Punjab Government's land pooling scheme hit a roadblock as several landowners and farmers from Siaun, Kurdi, Patton, Kishanpura and Naraingarh villages have decided against giving their land to GMADA. The development authority had invited farmers and landowners from seven villages to offer their land under the land pooling policy for Aerotropolis Phase-2 near Aerocity and IT City.

No fuel for over 15-yr-old petrol, 10-yr-old diesel vehicles in Delhi from today

As many as 62 lakh end-of-life vehicles will not get fuel in Delhi from today. The ban targets petrol vehicles over 15 years old and diesel vehicles over 10 years old. All fuel pumps in the city are equipped with technology to identify such vehicles. The move aims to combat air pollution in the national capital.

21 heart attack-linked deaths in K'taka's Hassan in 40 days, govt orders probe

Karnataka's Hassan district has recorded at least 21 deaths due to heart attack in 40 days, officials said, adding that an investigation is being conducted. 5 policemen arrested after theft accused dies in custody in TN
