I can understand the pain and anguish the families are feeling, to a certain extent." "This was a very tragic, horrific incident," he added. Only one person on the plane survived the crash.

What did govt say happened as Air India plane crashed in Ahmedabad, killing 274 people?

Civil Aviation Secretary SK Sinha said Air India flight AIC 171, which crashed in Ahmedabad killing 274 people, took-off at 1:39pm and began sinking seconds later on reaching 650ft height. The pilot declared full emergency at 1:39pm but ATC didn't get a response when it tried contacting the plane. The plane crashed about 2km from the airport a minute later.

Iran claims it struck 3 Israeli airbases

India denies being part of SCO statement that condemned Israeli strikes on Iran

The External Affairs Ministry on Saturday distanced itself from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's (SCO) statement that condemned Israeli strikes on Iran. BCCI forms 3-member panel to draft guidelines to prevent Bengaluru-like stampedes

During its 28th Apex Council Meeting, the BCCI formed a committee to formulate comprehensive guidelines aimed at preventing Bengaluru-like stampedes in the future. 13-billion-year-old cosmic signal detected

Scientists from the US National Science Foundation's Cosmology Large Angular Scale Surveyor (CLASS) project have captured a 13-billion-year-old microwave signal. Chopper with 7 people crashes in Uttarakhand

A chopper carrying seven people, going towards Gaurikund from Kedarnath Dham, crashed in Rudraprayag district on Sunday morning, IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop said. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Dhami confirmed the chopper crash, without revealing the casualties, adding, "SDRF, local administration and other rescue teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations." Israel hits Iran's nuclear project, Defence Ministry as both launch fresh attacks
