India-England Test series has been named Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy ahead of the five-match series in England. Until now the series played in England was called Pataudi Trophy, while the equivalent in India was called Anthony de Mello Trophy. RCB marketing head arrested from Bengaluru airport in stampede case

The Bengaluru Police on Friday arrested RCB marketing head Nikhil Sosale and event management company DNA's Sunil Mathew at the Kempegowda International Airport in connection with the stampede case. The police on Thursday booked RCB, DNA and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) administration over the stampede. As many as 11 people died in the stampede outside Chinnaswamy Stadium.

RBI cuts repo rate by 50 bps to 5.50%

Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) Governor Sanjay Malhotra on Friday announced the Monetary Policy Committee's (MPC) decision to cut the repo rate by 50 bps to 5.50%, marking the third consecutive rate reduction this year. The panel has also changed its stance from 'Accommodative' to 'Neutral'. In February and April, RBI reduced the repo rate by 25 basis points each.
