The IMD has issued heavy to very heavy rainfall and heatwave warnings for several states/UTs for Wednesday. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Puducherry, Sikkim and parts of sub Himalayan West Bengal. Meanwhile, heat wave is likely over parts of gangetic West Bengal and Odisha.

Ukraine explodes Russia-Crimea bridge with underwater explosives

Ukraine's SBU security service on Tuesday said that it had hit the road and rail bridge linking Russia and the Crimean peninsula with underwater explosives. SBU said it had used 1,100 kg of explosives that were detonated early in the morning and damaged underwater pillars of the bridge. The bridge has been a key supply route for Russian forces.

India shot down 6 Pakistani fighter jets, many other aircraft in Operation Sindoor: Report

Indian Air Force destroyed at least six Pakistani air force fighter jets, two high value aircraft, over 10 UCAVs and one C-130 transport aircraft during Operation Sindoor from May 7 to 10, according to ANI report. Multiple cruise missiles were also destroyed by Indian air-launched cruise missiles and surface-to-air missiles. The fighter jets were reportedly shot down in air.
