Permintaan maaf, sehalus apa pun diucapkan, tidak akan pernah bisa mengobati duka mendalam keluarga korban, karena nyawa tidak dapat dibayar dengan kata-kata.
Normalisasi kekerasan oleh aparat adalah ancaman nyata bagi kedaulatan hukum. Tidak ada ruang untuk impunitas dalam negara yang berlandaskan hukum. Pasal 359 KUHP sudah jelas, bahwa setiap kelalaian yang menyebabkan kematian harus dipertanggungjawabkan di hadapan hukum, tanpa memandang seragam atau jabatan. Keadilan sejati menuntut hukuman yang setimpal, bukan sekadar basa-basi. Jika preseden buruk ini terus dibiarkan, maka pertanyaan krusial pun muncul: APAKAH HUKUM DI NEGERI INI MASIH BERPIHAK PADA RAKYAT, ATAU HANYA MENJADI ALAT KEKUASAAN?
Sudah saatnya kita membuka mata dan menyadari bahwa tragedi ini bukan urusan orang lain.
