We all have our own responsibility. So no one is less or more responsible. But... there's a condition when the older one took more tasks than the younger one because of the experience factor. As you get older, you must've experience more thing than when you're younger, and elder often took more tasks and responsibilities because we wont risk our younger one to be in danger. Such as... When we have to be in a place that we can't guarantee safe from zombies, or when we do something with fire and weapon. Younger one tend to make mistakes that could harm themselves in that situation because they're less experienced, and we won't risk it for their safety.

Sorry it took so long to answer but I just remembered the time before we found Alexandria. That day I was playing with my siblings on an empty soccer fields. While we were busy playing and tossing the soccer ball here and there, we doesn't notices that there's a pack of zombies lurking us from afar. I'm the closest one to entrance door and I almost got bitten only if my brother doesn't immediately pull my hand and hit the zombies with a wooden plank. We all ran to another entrance door to escape and with a quick hand, my brother make sure no one's left behind and we make it home safely. And that's the closest thing I've been to death (if becoming a zombie is considered death.)
