The ONLY Way Humanity Can Survive - Jim Gale
Visionary Jim Gale from Food Forest Abundance shares the solution is much simpler than many think. Though the solution is simple, that doesn't mean it is easy. However, the easiness is irrelevant. The truth must be, because if we deny it, we won't survive.…

Our friend Nate just sent me this…
“Some thoughts for the morning regarding ideology and the future of society and how permaculture fits into it.
First, ideology is related to power. Ideologies rely on people believing them. Inevitably, those with a particular ideology will try to force their ideology (any by extension their values) on others.
Second, those in power holding a dominant ideology are incentivized to institutionalize their ideology into government structure. Thus, the ideology becomes hidden, and the common people accept it as "something that was always a fact."
Third, the issue with focusing "purely on goals" is that those in power with an ideology will justify "any means necessary that preserve their power" just as long as the goals are met.
So what's the way out? By focusing on *right actions*.
The actions themselves by those in power *must* obey the permaculture principles:
1. Care for people
2. Care for the environment
3. Care for the future
Note, our major problem is when powerholders focus on only one of these at the expense of the other and utilize propaganda to justify their actions.
If we judge our politicians' actions and the actions of the powerholders on all three of these factors, then it can lead to a better system.”
I love how the Permaculture ethics are stated… Especially
“Care for the future” because I think that lands better for most than the concept of “reinvesting our surplus”
What do y’all think?
