Do not fall in Love, Rise in Love
Traditionally, couples celebrate Valentine’s Day and embrace their “other half.” Much of the true purpose of Love within that context has lost its meaning through expectations from one another, especially on days such as Valentine’s Day. The more consumeristic our society has become, the more material expectations have hijacked the true meaning of Love and what this holiday truly represents.
Let us talk about Love and the other half.
So many of us think that we long to find our “other half.” But in reality, none of us have the “other half”; we try to find each other, but we fall because the other half does not exist on the external.
When we seek to complete ourselves through another, that is how relationships collapse. We look for qualities in others that we have within ourselves and see flaws within another because we project where we are not complete. And we hold on, trying to cling to the external, forgetting that we are the ones who can make ourselves whole.
Before looking for relationships with others, we must have a relationship with ourselves. We must connect with parts of ourselves where we did not receive Love. When we realize that we are the ones who can complete ourselves, we understand that we are not only loved, but we are able to Love.
Focus your Love first and foremost within yourself - this is enough to stop the fears and feeling lost. It is enough to control the fear of being alone, and once you are no longer afraid, you will no longer be alone. You will discover that your other half is within you—your divine Self. You are part of one Source (God), and were created in His image. You do not need to look for those who will give you Love.
Only then will Love manifest itself between two souls, and your relationship will be built on the admiration of one another, on the sincere desire to be together and celebrate each other.
Celebrate Love daily, each moment. Rise into Love. You are Love.
