Ever heard of "Intentional Neighborhoods"?

The concept of "Intentional Neighborhoods " is quite fascinating bc a Neighbor is someone who is 5 or 10 minutes away,

But not necessarily on the same piece of land.

This man's Homestead caught fire but since he's in rural Kansas he called his Intentional freedom Neighbors, via group text thread, and within 5 minutes there were ATVs and water tanks on site helping to extinguish the fire. :)

He's been preparing for a few years and has a pretty inspirational model working, imo.
