▪️ ગોદાવરી દ્વીપકલ્પની ભારતની સૌથી મોટી નદી પ્રણાલી છે અને તેને દક્ષિણા ગંગા અથવા વૃધા ગંગા તરીકે ઓળખવામાં આવે છે

▪️તે મહારાષ્ટ્રના નાસિક જિલ્લામાં ઉગે છે અને તેનું પાણી બંગાળની ખાડીમાં છોડે છે કુલ લંબાઈ 1,465 કિ.મી.

▪️ ચાલી રહેલા પ્રોજેક્ટ્સમાં, પ્રણહિતા-ચેવાલા અને પોલાવરમ મુખ્ય છે.

▪️ બેસિનમાં મુખ્ય શહેરી કેન્દ્રો નાગપુર, ઔરંગાબાદ, નાસિક, રાજમુન્દ્રી છે.

▪️મહત્વના બંધો : ગંગાપુર ડેમ, જયકવાડી ડેમ, શ્રીરામ સાગર અને સર આર્થર કોટન બારા

▪️તેની ઉપનદીઓ મહારાષ્ટ્ર, મધ્યપ્રદેશ, છત્તીસગઢ, ઓડિશા અને આંધ્ર પ્રદેશ રાજ્યમાંથી પસાર થાય છે.

▪️ડાબી કાંઠાની ઉપનદીઓ: ધરણા, પેનગંગા, વૈનગંગા, વર્ધા, પ્રણહિતા પેંચ, કન્હાન, સબરી, ઈન્દ્રાવતી વગેરે.

▪️જમણી કાંઠાની ઉપનદીઓ: પ્રવરા, મુલા, માંજરા, પેદ્દવાગુ, માનેર વગેરે.

▪️ગોદાવરીનો ડેલ્ટા લોબેટ પ્રકારનો છે જેમાં ગોળાકાર બલ્જ અને ઘણી ડિસ્ટ્રીબ્યુટરી છે

As a response to Pakistan's misadventures of attempted drone strikes on the night of 08 and 09 May 2025 in multiple cities of Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab, the #Indian Army conducted a coordinated fire assault on terrorist launchpads, pulverizing & razing them to cinders.
The terrorist launchpads, located close to the Line of Control, were a hub for planning and executing terror attacks against Indian civilians and security forces in the past. The Indian Army's swift and decisive action has dealt a significant blow to terrorist infrastructure and capabilities.”
