GPSCની ક્લાસ ૧/૨ની નવી જગ્યાઓ ટૂક સમયમાં આવાના એંધાણ છે એ સાથે જાન્યુઆરી માસમાં નવું ભરતી કેલેન્ડર પણ આવાનું છે. આગામી ક્લાસ ૧/૨ની જગ્યાઓ માટે UPSC પેટર્ન મુજબ પ્રિલીમમાં પ્રશ્નો આવશે એ નવાઈ નથી. માટે આ રીતે પ્રિલીમમાં ઉપયોગી ન્યૂઝપેપરમાંથી કંટૈંટ સૌએ અત્યારથી વાચવાની ટેવ પાડવી જોઈએ.

દા.ત. ઉપરના ન્યૂઝપેપર હાઇલાઇટ્સ વાચીને નીચે આપેલ વિધાન ખરું/ખોટું તપાસો :

પ્રશ્ન. “પેઇન્ટેડ બેટ જમીન પર બેસીને શિકાર કરે છે. ”

હવે તમે આખું ન્યૂઝપેપર આર્ટિક્લ વાચસો તો આવા ઘણા વિધાનો વાળા પ્રશ્ન બની શકે છે એ તમને ખ્યાલ આવશે. હસમુખ સાહેબે ઇન્ટરવ્યૂમાં પણ ઘણી વાર કીધેલું છે કે એમને ગુજરાતના એસ્પિરન્ટ્સ યુપીએસસીમાં મેક્સિમમ સેલેક્શન થાઈ એ રીતે GPSCની પેટટર્ન કરવી છે અને એસ્પિરન્ટ્સમાં તાર્કિક ક્ષમતાનો વિકાસ થાય એવો એમનો હેતુ રહશે.

COP16 of UNCCD

- 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the United Nations Convention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with nearly 200 countries committing to prioritise land restoration and drought resilience.

Key Outcomes of COP16 UNCCD

1. Global Drought Framework: Nations advanced efforts toward a global drought framework, aiming for completion at COP17 in Mongolia 2026.

2. Great Green Wall (GGW) Initiative: The African-led GGW initiative secured Euros 11 million from Italy for Sahel landscape restoration and Euros 3.6 million from Austria to enhance coordination across 22 African countries.

3. Business4Land initiative: It highlights the role of private sector advocacy, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies, and sustainable finance in tackling Desertification, Land Degradation and Drought (DLDD) challenges.

નિમ્નલિખિત પૈકી કયું(યાં) વિધાન(નો) સત્ય છે?

1. જ્યારે એલેકઝાંડરે ભારત પર આક્રમણ કર્યું ત્યારે આમ્ભી તક્ષશિલાના રાજા હતા.

2. પોરસનું રાજ્ય ચિનાબ અને બિયાસ નદીની વચ્ચે હતું.
