i think the reason why we broke up is because i slowly changed without realizing it. i became more distant, more quiet, and less attentive to you. my feelings started fading, and instead of being honest from the start, i acted cold and careless. you kept trying to fix us while i kept pulling away, and i know that hurt you a lot. the truth is, you deserved someone who could love you properly and give you the attention you needed, but i couldn’t do that anymore. so i chose to let go because staying while my feelings were disappearing would’ve only hurt you even more.
