At first it was normal, we talked like usual. But then your replies got shorter, took longer, and somehow I was always the one starting everything. I noticed, I just didn’t say anything. So when I finally stopped trying too, it just… ended like that.

Maybe we both knew it wouldn’t work anymore. You looked tired, and I felt it too, even if we didn’t say it out loud. So instead of forcing something that was already fading, we just slowly let go. No goodbye, no explanation… just choosing to stop before it hurt even more.
