Interview Structure and Format:

- Screening Round: 1 round focused on Data Structures, Algorithms, and some basic system design questions.
- Onsite Rounds: 4 rounds including coding, system design, and behavioral interviews based on Amazon’s Leadership Principles.
- Leadership Principles Round: This round tested how well you align with Amazon’s core values through situational and behavioral questions.

Preparation for Coding Rounds:

1. Practice on LeetCode and HackerRank focusing on medium to hard problems from arrays, trees, graphs, and dynamic programming.
2. Revise common algorithms like sorting, searching, backtracking, and greedy algorithms.
3. Study system design basics like load balancing, caching, database sharding, and microservices for senior roles.
4. Solve at least 5-7 problems per topic and simulate mock interviews to improve speed and communication.

Evaluation Criteria:

1. Problem Solving:
- Clearly explain your thought process and reasoning behind your approach.
- Optimize your solution step-by-step and justify your choices.

2. Behavioral Skills:
- Prepare examples for Amazon’s Leadership Principles like Ownership, Customer Obsession, and Dive Deep.
- Use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result) to structure your answers.

3. Code Quality & Testing:
- Write clean, efficient code with clear variable names.
- Test your solution with edge cases and explain your testing strategy.

4. Communication:
- Ask clarifying questions and confirm requirements before coding.
- Keep the interviewer engaged by narrating your approach and decisions.
