The kitchen was roaring with the clang of pots and pans as Mama Suzy and Weiming cooked soup and steak—their theory being that food was the ultimate cure for noise. On the other hand, Uncle Han worried. He knew he'd face a sad welcome home, reflecting on his absence while his sick nephew was down.
