We started out as kids, all under one roof and fighting the same battles. With faces so much alike, we spent our days tearing down toy castles and moving through life at the exact same speed.
Then, we leaned on each other to keep everything from falling apart. Whether we were on opposite sides or the same team, we were always looking for common ground, just hoping the other person still cared.
As the years stretched on, the echoes of our shared laughter and the ghosts of our old arguments began to weave into the very fabric of who we are. We grew tall, branching out toward different horizons, yet our roots remained tangled in the same soil. We learned that the world can be a cold and shifting place, but there is a specific kind of warmth, a quiet, unspoken safety, that only exists between people who have known the same silence and shared the same bread. Even when the miles between us grew or life demanded we walk alone, we carried the weight of those early days like a compass, always pointing us back to the truth of where we began.
We are no longer just those kids with scraped knees and wild dreams, we are the keepers of each other’s history. Every scar we carry has a witness in the other, and every victory feels shared, even if celebrated from afar. In the end, we realized that we weren't just building lives, we were building a sanctuary that no distance could ever diminish.
