Tonight feels slow and warm. Altefiore’s Jay is in the kitchen, sleeves rolled up, cooking just for them. He moves carefully, focused on the pan, making sure everything turns out right because she is the one he wants to feed tonight. Meirhärt’s Isa is sprawled on the bed, wrapped in a blanket, relaxed and wide awake. She peeks toward the kitchen now and then, looking comfortable and at ease. She does not help or even pretend to get up, just staying there, perfectly content to let him do everything.
After they finish eating, they move to the living room. Meirhärt’s Isa settles on the floor with her blanket and a small Lego set, focused as she starts putting the pieces together. Altefiore’s Jay sits nearby, helping when she asks. In that quiet moment, the night feels soft, easy, and perfectly theirs. 🤍
