ㅤㅤThis weekend, Caltbern’s Dilraba and Halton’s DPR Ian decided to sneak out for a little catch-up, with Ian bringing along the smallest and most enthusiastic little friend, his dog Lori. The plan was to visit a dog museum, which sounded simple enough until Ian had to convince Lori that getting into his backpack was, in fact, a very reasonable life decision. Lori, however, seemed to have other plans, squirming around with the determination of someone who had absolutely no intention of being carried anywhere. “Lori, please cooperate,” Ian sighed, while Dilraba could only laugh and watch her tiny rebellion unfold. The moment they finally arrived at the museum, though, all that stubbornness mysteriously disappeared—Lori was suddenly the happiest little tourist around, happily exploring everything as if she personally owned the place. “See? She just needed to know where we were going,” Dilraba teased, earning an unimpressed look from Ian.

ㅤㅤAfter their little museum adventure, the three of them settled down for lunch and coffee, with Dilraba choosing a refreshing matcha instead, because apparently every catch-up needs its designated green drink. Between bites and sips, Ian and Dilraba filled each other in on all the little things that had happened lately—the good, the chaotic, and the mildly ridiculous. “So, what have you been up to?” Dilraba asked, casually stirring her matcha, only for Ian to answer, “Honestly? Surviving. Does that count?” That earned a laugh from both of them, with Lori quietly sitting nearby as if she had been listening to the entire conversation. By the time the afternoon rolled around, the outing had turned into exactly what they needed: good food, easy conversations, a happy dog, and a few hours spent catching up on life without having to rush anywhere.
