The hustle and bustle of the world begins to ring loudly in the ears—as if forcing us to run away from reality. The chirping of birds sounds like mockery, the sound of shoes on this busy street sounds like judgement, the movement of their hands as they walked seemed to drive you away from this place. You pause, staring at your surroundings that feel enormous, triggering your fear to come out of its own nest. The defences you’ve walled up as solidly as possible begin to crack on their own, the fear you can’t contain anymore, the darkness you’ve been harbouring begins to give off signs that it’s about to take over everything. Even the sunlight above you begins to fade, as if it understands what is happening to you right now.
