We had been talking about this dinner for days and naturally everyone showed up a little overdressed for just a dinner. The hardest decision of the evening wasn't what to wear: it was deciding where to eat. After walking past a few places and changing our minds more than once, we finally settled on a steakhouse that had been sitting on our saved list for ages.
The moment the food arrived, everything stopped. Shardwhyte's Liz was already adjusting the glasses to make the table look prettier also Einette's Gawon kept saying "wait... don't touch anything yet," while trying to fit every plate into one perfect beautiful photo. Only after everyone approved the pictures did we finally start eating. We passed fries, swapped steaks just to compare them, stole sips from each others and somehow spent almost two hours around one table without realizing how much time had passed.
Instead of going straight home, we decided to wander around the area with no destination in mind. Every few steps someone would stop because another street looked pretty under the evening lights. We found ourselves walking through little alleys, browsing shops we weren't planning to buy anything from, admiring shelves filled with wine bottles and standing in front of dessert displays trying to convince ourselves we didn't need another sweet treat.
Arclaine's Liz somehow became everyone's photographer, Liú's Wonyoung kept spotting the cutest cafés from across the street, while Oaklisse's Wonyoung she said we should take just one more picture before leaving each place. Looking back, I think we spent more time exploring than we actually planned to.

Eventually we found another place to sit because none of us wanted the conversations to end. Someone suggested ordering another drink, someone else couldn't stop thinking about dessert and before long the table was full again. We talked about everything: recent life updates, work, funny memories, future trips we would probably spend months planning and the most random topics that somehow only make sense during these girls dinners.
Between conversations I was already editing photos from earlier, Majerle's Liz was scrolling through everyone's camera roll to choose the best ones, and Irene's Liz kept laughing every time another candid photo appeared. Somehow, the night became a balance of eating, talking, laughing, taking pictures, and convincing each other that there was still room for one more dessert. By the end of the night, none of us were actually ready to leave.
We made one last stop just because the restaurant looked too beautiful to skip. We watched the chef prepare dinner right in front of us, admired every little detail of the interior, shared the last few bites from each other's plates and stayed long after we would already finished eating. Nobody was checking the time anymore.
When we finally walked out, our phones were almost out of battery, our camera rolls were filled with beautifully plated dinners, blurry candids, restaurant corners, city lights and dozens of photos we'd probably send to each other all week. It started with, "let's have dinner together" and somehow turned into an entire evening of good food, endless conversations, spontaneous walks and the kind of girls night that always feels too short once it's over. ♥️
