We are three days into this and the air smells like salt-spray, messy heart, the sweet scent of sun-baked skin and sunscreen. Here come us—me, Eelje’s Anna, with Samniont’s Heeseung and Talse’s Juhoon, letting you to take a peek into our second time being spent together, thoroughly; we took a stroll down the beach on the afternoon, exactly against the shore where blue-bruised expanse could makes every human’s worry feel like a paper-cut in a monsoon. And then, there he was, a tiny, four-legged baby tucked into a patch of shade that had me hooked into. We stayed for a heartbeat that stretched into an hour, tracing soft grit of the dunes and letting him sniff our ink-stained fingers. We don’t even bother checking the time, just cradle the way his purr felt against our palm until the sun sets! Coming back to the villa was a tumble of laughter, sandy floorboards and fizzy pop of soda cans. The weather is good enough so we had our bodies half-dipped into the backyard pool, all splash and things. I watched how the youngest decided to be silly, too—him, a red can, and a face full of mock-serious concentration as he tried to explain how to drink a cola like it was the only thing that mattered in the world. Nothing much, just us doubled over until our stomachs ached. So, stay here with us, tucked into the sofa with plate balanced on your knees and TV humming in the background. You don’t have to wait for the other shoe to drop, we’ve got enough lightning in this room to last the night—best served with a side laughter and a cat who doesn’t even know our names.
