In a major breakthrough, Bengaluru Police today arrested an alleged cyber fraudster accused of scripting and generating multiple fake ₹100 Jio mart coupon codes. According to investigators, the individual created and distributed hundreds of forged discount codes, leading to substantial financial losses for the e-commerce platform.
Officials stated that the accused used automated scripts to bypass security measures and mass-produce coupon codes that were later circulated among buyers and resellers. This exploitation reportedly caused a “huge revenue dent” for Jiomart, prompting a swift complaint and joint investigation between the company’s fraud detection team and cybercrime authorities.
