They didn’t really have a reason to go hiking—just Ostendl’s Anton sudden idea, and Lorwaine’s Sungchan followed him like always. At first, Ostendl’s Anton was full of energy, walking ahead and talking nonstop. But halfway through, he stopped with a dramatic sigh. “I’m really tired…”

“You insisted on this, sayang,” Lorwaine’s Sungchan smiled. “I know, Mas. Carry me?” Ostendl’s Anton giggled. Sungchan sighed but crouched anyway. “You planned this.” Anton laughed, climbing onto his back and stealing a quick kiss. “That’s your payment.”

When they reached the small pavilion overlooking the river and skyline, Sungchan put him down gently. Anton didn’t step away. He stayed close, almost leaning into him. As the sun began to set, Anton pointed at the sky. “Look, it’s pretty.” Sungchan looked at him instead. “Yeah. It is.”

They stood there, close enough for their shoulders to brush. “Thanks for coming with me, sayangku,” Anton murmured. Sungchan’s voice was soft, certain. “I’d go anywhere if you asked, my little dove.” Then, kiss Anton’s forehead.
