Happy Chinese New Year, Sachis! To celebrate this Lunar New Year, our whole family decided to head out to Chinatown as the evening began. As we wandered through the decorated streets, Aunty Tzuyu paused to buy tanghulu, handing the glossy candied treats to Koko Soobin, Cece Minji, Koko Taesan, Meimei Leeseo, Meimei Stella, and Meimei Iroha, who accepted them with bright eyes and quiet excitement. Nearby, Aunty Siah walked a little slower with Didi Seonghyeon, Meimei Boeun, Didi Martin, and Meimei Kya, stopping occasionally to admire shop windows and decorations, sharing small comments and laughter as the crowd moved around us.

Later that evening, we gathered for dinner at a nearby restaurant, sitting around a large table filled with familiar dishes that only feel right during Chinese New Year. Mami Gayoung sat at the center, gently checking in on everyone—making sure plates were full, conversations flowed easily, and no one felt left out. Cece Chuyu, Cece Haum, Koko Youngjae, and Didi Keonho helped keep the table lively, while Meimei Yunha stayed close, quietly taking everything in.

In the middle of the meal, Aunty Tzuyu suddenly took out red envelopes and handed them out to everyone at the table, turning the dinner into a moment of shared surprise and laughter. We welcomed the new year together, holding onto moments that felt gently precious.
