The reason we're broke up
We broke up because there are wounds too deep to simply forgive and forget. It wasn’t a lack of love, but the fact that broken trust can’t be rebuilt with just an apology. It felt like carrying a heavy burden every time we tried to go back to how things used to be, and we finally realized that staying together would only cause more damage.
We chose separate paths because we could no longer look at each other without remembering all the promises that were never kept. We need the space to heal on our own without pretending that everything is okay. Letting go was our last way of respecting one another, before this disappointment turned into permanent resentment
