Took her out today, one day before her birthday. I asked what she wanted as a gift, and she said LEGO right away like she didn’t even need to think about it. I told her no because she already has too many at home. Thought it made sense, but she just went quiet after that and stayed next to me the whole time.
We kept walking, grabbed some snacks, nothing much said. In the end, I gave in and took her to get the LEGO anyway. She smiled again like nothing happened. Happy early birthday, Sarang. You win this one.
