This is not a roleplayer-related announcement, but a message from the Mirthwood Familia regarding the current situation in Gaza, Palestine.

Right now, in Palestine, our brothers and sisters are facing immense suffering. You can see what is happening by looking at @EyesonPal and @EyeonPalestine2 for current updates.

Since the beginning, many Palestinians have lost their lives simply for standing up for their homeland. If we trace the roots of this conflict, it began in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, when Jewish immigrants moved to Palestine. Long story short, Israel declared independence on 14 May 1948, claiming territory in Palestine. Arab states opposed Israel’s declaration of independence, and war broke out between them. Eventually, the United Nations proposed a two-state solution. Unfortunately, many believe the division was unfair, as Israel gained control over a large portion of the land. This meant that Palestinians governed only a limited part of their own territory.

We may come from a roleplay world, but that does not stop us from speaking about real-world issues. If you wish to show support for Palestinians, you can educate yourself, raise awareness, and consider participating in boycotts and donate based on reliable information:
