​That day, when Scalden’s Ian came over to stay, the atmosphere felt a bit more lively than usual. Dulcia’s Junhwi had this grand plan for a pancake feast, but Ian’s only strategy with the stove is "maximum power." Within seconds, the first few pancakes were already charred beyond recognition.

​"Ian, astaga, itu apinya kegedean! Keburu gosong semua nanti," Junhwi said while trying to rescue the batter. Ian just gave Junhwi this blank stare like she was waiting for the stove to fix itself, and they ended up laughing at our sad, crispy dinner.

​After they finished their questionable meal, they just sprawled out on the bed to rewatch Sakamoto Days. They were supposed to pay attention to the plot, but they were too busy making fun of the characters and talking over the best scenes. Eventually, the cozy room and the full stomachs won the battle.

​"Duh, udah ya, aku nonton sambil merem aja ce..." Ian muttered as she started drifting off, and before Junhwi knew it, they both completely passed out.

I never thought and never even imagined that my high school friendships would turn out to be this enjoyable. I’ve met so many people, learned so many different personalities, until I finally understood something simple, we exist not to compete but to complete one another.

Today, we just came back from rapat organisasi and It didn’t go smoothly. We argued, differences in opinion, stress from our own divisions and the kind of headaches that make everything feel heavier than it should.
