Match 9 of the 2023-24 Big Bash League sees Perth Scorchers take on Hobart Hurricanes in Perth. The Scorchers first game of the campaign was abandoned after 6.5 overs due to a poor pitch but they then beat Melbourne Stars by 7 wickets. Hobart Hurricanes lost their only match to Sydney Sixers.
The comfortable win over Melbourne Stars shows that Perth Scorchers are going to be just as strong as they have been in previous seasons in this yearโs BBL. Their bowling attack is particularly strong and we expect to see another victory for the Scorchers in this game.
Hobart Hurricanes may have got off to a disappointing start against Sydney Sixers but they have plenty of talent throughout their team and if they have a good day could well cause some problems for Perth Scorchers. Getting a win in Perth will be a tough assignment though.
