As far as conditions are concerned, the wicket in Lucknow was very unlike Lucknow wicket as there was no help on offer for the spinners, however, one can bet that the pitch in Chennai will help the spinners. DC have three wins in eight matches and they need to win five out of their remaining six games to qualify for the playoffs. GT are slightly better placed, with four wins in eight games and they need four wins out of their six games left.
The prime reasons for the teams’ shambolic show has been lack of performance from big players. For GT, the likes of Gill, Miller, Sudharsan have not lit up the tournament while Delhi suffered because of lack of runs from David Warner, Prithvi Shaw and other players. Bowling from both teams has also been average.
