The air that usually feels heavy at night had finally eased into something colder, calmer, perhaps because Lorwaine's Ryul had once again slipped into another reckless little escape with his partner in crime, Morthen's Jeemin. While most people spend nights like this chasing moonlight and constellations, we were after something far simpler: a plate of pecel lele with the kind of taste that keeps dragging us back without fail.

We settled into the same small roadside place that had long become familiar territory for us, ordered our usual two portions without hesitation, and let the hours pass unnoticed. The night somehow felt longer than it really was, though we had only been there for two hours. Still, sharing pecel lele with Morthen's Jeemin remains one of the best parts of any night.
