Halloween felt straight out of the Caribbean this year — I slipped into the role of Elizabeth Swann, lace and corset and all, while Nini swaggered in as the ever-chaotic Captain Jack Sparrow. Between the flicker of the candlelight, the clinking of imaginary rum bottles, and the way we couldn’t stop laughing at our own dramatic poses, it almost felt like we’d stepped right off the Black Pearl. A night of mischief, salt air, and stolen glances — pirates at heart, only for a moment.
