A weekend well-spent with the two people who know me, Eelje's Sanghyeon best. It started with a quick mirror snap before we set off—just a simple outfit for a long day of walking and i, Eelje's Sanghyeon was bought a new iPhone by Talse's Junseo. The highlight was definitely the arcade; Talse's Junseo was so determined to win that cactus plushie for Eelje's Winter. Watching Eelje's Winter hold it with such a pure, happy smile made the whole afternoon feel like a scene from a movie. The day wrapped up at the station with one last blurry selfie. Masked up and exhausted from all the laughter, but giving a thumbs up to a perfect trip. Grateful for these small, quiet moments with me, Eelje's Sanghyeon, Eelje's Winter and Talse's Junseo that always feel like home.

Sunday afternoon feels a little longer than it should be, don’t you think so, neighbors? It’s all about honey and woodsmoke over my lungs. Standing at the balcony, doing nothing but staring at the ceiling might be one of the best way to spent the time wisely, at least for me. I’m telling you this because I know your ribs might feel like a birdcage today, too. I know the way the light hits the floorboards makes you wanted to apologize for just being present at some flicker of moment. But, as long as we’re still here, skinning the day for whatever sweetness hasn’t turned to salt yet, it’ll be just fine. If the Monday-panic starts to sharpen its teeth in the back of your mind, remember the way the light looked when it was too thick to swallow. Take a piece of this bread and some red cherries on top—don’t you worry if it’s a little burnt at the edges; that’s the tastier part, after all! Consider this as your gift for being in peace, because we surely have another weeks of nosebleed heat to pass by, right?

We are three days into this and the air smells like salt-spray, messy heart, the sweet scent of sun-baked skin and sunscreen. Here come us—me, Eelje’s Anna, with Samniont’s Heeseung and Talse’s Juhoon, letting you to take a peek into our second time being spent together, thoroughly; we took a stroll down the beach on the afternoon, exactly against the shore where blue-bruised expanse could makes every human’s worry feel like a paper-cut in a monsoon. And then, there he was, a tiny, four-legged baby tucked into a patch of shade that had me hooked into. We stayed for a heartbeat that stretched into an hour, tracing soft grit of the dunes and letting him sniff our ink-stained fingers. We don’t even bother checking the time, just cradle the way his purr felt against our palm until the sun sets! Coming back to the villa was a tumble of laughter, sandy floorboards and fizzy pop of soda cans. The weather is good enough so we had our bodies half-dipped into the backyard pool, all splash and things. I watched how the youngest decided to be silly, too—him, a red can, and a face full of mock-serious concentration as he tried to explain how to drink a cola like it was the only thing that mattered in the world. Nothing much, just us doubled over until our stomachs ached. So, stay here with us, tucked into the sofa with plate balanced on your knees and TV humming in the background. You don’t have to wait for the other shoe to drop, we’ve got enough lightning in this room to last the night—best served with a side laughter and a cat who doesn’t even know our names.
