​​KuCoin has been hacked earlier today. Part of Bitcoin, ERC-20 and other tokens in KuCoin’s hot wallets were transferred out of the exchange. The total amount of funds stolen is not announced yet. According to the recent blog post if any user fund is affected by this incident, it will be covered completely by KuCoin and their insurance fund. The deposit and withdrawal service will be suspended till further notice.

​​KuCoin security incident update: Tether has frozen 22M USDT withdrawn from KuCoin and will recast the amount later. 20M USDT are on the ETH chain and another 2M USDT on OMNI and TRON. KuCoin is working with 22 exchanges including Binance, Huobi, OKEx to track the stolen funds. A few projects like VELO, VIDT and SNTR have announced that they will freeze stolen tokens or re-issue their tokens.
