According to the latest data from Michelle, today the total trading volume across all Bitcoin options markets surpassed $367.7M. The last time the total trading volume of Bitcoin options demonstrated a higher level was on July 28 - $527M.

Moreover, the current volume represents the 3rd highest volume in the trading history of Bitcoin options.

Bitcoin has mimicked gains on Wall Street and registered a new monthly high at over $11,700.

Yesterday, after trading at about $11,400 for a few hours, BTC headed down and bottomed at $11,200 (on Binance). However, the bulls intercepted the move and initiated an impressive leg up. BTC firstly reclaimed the $11,500 level before heading even further upwards to about $11,720.

Although Bitcoin couldn’t sustain its run and started losing steam, the asset still trades above $11,400. If the bears take control and drive the price south, Bitcoin could rely on $11,245, $11,150, and $11,000 as support.

The most notable gainer in the top 10 is Binance Coin (+6%). As a result, BNB has overtaken Bitcoin Cash for the 5th spot

​​COTI Launches Decentralized tradable ‘Fear Index’ for DeFi and its governance token CVIX. The cVIX is similar to the stock market's VIX index, which indicates the level of implied volatility, or investors' expectations of how volatile the equities would be.

The index is created by computing a decentralized volatility index from cryptocurrency option prices and utilizes Chainlink as a source for required data. Traders will be able to hedge against market stagnation or high volatility by taking short or long positions.
