BTC - I'm not all that surprised with the rejection from $50k. We've seen these kinds of rejections from previous significant areas of resistance. I understand that the most recent rejection was ugly but I don't think it looks all that bad.

The lows are clearly being defended after the darth maul. In these situations, we typically grind right back to the highs.

with that being said, there's nothing too actionable with this price action. It's one of those ranges where you happen to market into a LTF selloff. If you don't get in, you'll be entering in the middle of the range which is what I would be doing if I longed here.

Chopping around here should give alts (specifically ETH) the time to breath.

Mark Cuban revealed he’s bullish on crypto in general and DeFi in particular. He predicted that as governments get more into digital currencies, he can see them selling off a percentage of their gold reserves and putting their earnings into BTC or ETH.

Cuban sees smart contracts as the pivotal moment when crypto “just blew up” and a major threat to the banking system.

For that reason, he said “Ethereum has an advantage over Bitcoin for regular people.” Smart contracts are real and remind me of the early days of the internet, he said.

Bitcoin has broken through the $50,000 mark and continues its upward movement. At the moment, the price is at $50,375, which is an increase of +2.68%.

Along with the growth of Bitcoin, its dominance has also grown. Traders sell altcoins in order to buy BTC. At the same time, the capitalization of the entire market is growing.

Most of the Top-10 are in the red zone, except for Polkadot, which is growing +4.70%. The leader in the decline is Ripple -9.52%

The steep increase in mid December marks the point when BTC crossed $20,000 – making all early miner addresses (50 BTC rewards) millionaire addresses.

Bitcoin made it above 50k again 🚀 Yesterday's attempt was rejected by big sell off but it seems that hype during that bull run is capable of pushing BTC much higher without any sufficient pullbacks. Now 50 is support and further growth to 53k and above seem to be inevitable. That gives good perspectives for alts as well - now they are down, but as soon as BTC reach next virtual "resistance" they should pick up and pump again.
