Today, Courthlace's Shinyu suddenly became an impromptu coach for Courthlace's Keonho, who’s about to compete in a school swimming competition. At first, he was still nervous and kept making mistakes. From the very beginning, he kept saying, “I can’t do it, Ko.” So we spent a few hours practicing the basics, going back and forth across the pool over and over again. It was tiring, but it was fun to see Keonho start to gain confidence and finally be able to follow the techniques correctly. After practice, he suddenly asked me to go to the mall. “Come on, Ko. Let’s go eat, I’ll treat you since you taught me,” he said when I asked what we were going to do at the mall. He said the fried chicken was his way of saying thank you for being patient enough to teach him until he could do it and felt more confident. Hopefully, all the practice from today will pay off on competition day. Win or lose, what matters is that my dear little brother had the courage to try and give it his best.
