I guess today turned into a spontaneous brother-sister day out. Ce Karina suddenly came up to me, already in her beach outfit, and said, “Dede, let’s go out!”
I was still confused about what was happening, so all I could say was, "...huh?"
But, being the good little brother that I am, of course I said yes and drove her to the nearest beach we could find. We spent the day tanning, talking, and joking around.
“Dede, nyemplung sana,” said Ce Karina. And as always, I listened—but not without dragging her into the water with me, because honestly, what’s the fun of the ocean if I’m the only one in it?
And just like that, the hot summer day finally came to an end, filled with nothing but laughter.
