Guess who spent the evening on a relaxing stroll together? That's right, us!

Today's theme: "mother-off-duty," just the two of us enjoying some rare one-on-one time. Even though we are leaving the kiddos at home, our conversation naturally circles back to them. "Anakku kemarin pada rebutan mau pijitin aku, tau, Kak. Karena aku kasih hadiah boleh makan es krim dua kali dalam sehari itu HAHAHA," Loughrey's Mami said. I laughed, realizing things weren't any different at Runeshard. "Seru banget! Pasti langsung pada rebutan mau pijitin kamu itu," I chimed in.

We spent the whole time chatting as we walked, stopping occasionally to rest our legs. Because, honestly, age doesn't lie, y'all... :). We took turns snapping photos of each other to show off to everyone back home. Loughrey's Mami even pointed out a cat that looked exactly like her pet, Choco. They looked so adorable meowing back and forth as if they actually understood one another. It was such a fun and a much-needed healing season for us! 🖤🙌🏻

I’m used to being the passenger princess, the kind of Mami who sits beside Papa while he drives, following the date plans he so thoughtfully prepares. But after so long without a moment just for the two of us, I wanted to surprise him in my own small way. I arranged everything and asked him to follow my lead (though he still insisted on being the one behind the wheel because he never quite trusts me with it). The night felt fleeting, perhaps because it was just us like this.. We began with one of Papa’s favorite things as a playing billiards together and ended the night as we always love, sharing a lovely dinner together. Not for a single second did his smile fade and he never let go of my hand, as if quietly telling me how much he cherished every moment of it. Maybe I should plan more nights like this, just for us to keep. ♥️
