👉The Coast Guard operates under the Ministry of Defence in close cooperation with the Indian Armed Forces.
👉It has its own rank structure and while sharing a large part of the awards and medals system of the Armed Forces, there is also a component which is exclusive to the Coast Guard like President's Tatrakshak Medal(President's Coast Guard Medal)
