🅾️ SCO is a confluence of diverse civilizations. Cinema captures a country's culture and history and the timeless trails of a country in transition!


🅾️ The SCO film festival will open with the world premiere of the Tamil film ‘Appatha’, which is directed by Padma Shri and National Award-winning filmmaker Priyadarshan.

🅾️ India is targeting to be the content hub of the world

🅾️ The SCO Film Festival is a platform to engage and collaborate to showcase the diversity of films and filmmaking in the SCO region.

✅️ Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO):

👉 SCO is a multilateral organization, established on 15 June 2001.

🔵 The SCO currently comprises eight Member States (China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan), three Observer States (Belarus, Iran, and Mongolia) and fourteen Dialogue Partners (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Maldives, Myanmar, UAE and Turkey).

👉India joined SCO in 2017 and this is the first time India has assumed chairmanship.

🔵The rotational presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was handed over to India in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, in September 2022.

🅾️ iNCOVACC, world’s first intranasal vaccine✅️

⚕️iNNCOVACC is developed by Bharat Biotech International Limited (BBIL) in collaboration with Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance (BIRAC), a PSU under the Dept of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology.

✅️Approved as heterologous booster dose:

👉iNNCOVACC is the first intranasal Covid-19 vaccine to receive approval for the primary 2-dose schedule and as a heterologous booster dose.

🔵A booster dose is an extra dose administered after the primary vaccination. It is given after a specific period when the protection from the initial dose begins to reduce.

🔵There are two types of booster doses, in homologous boosting, a person is injected with the same vaccine that was used for the two previous doses. For example, if a person has received 2 doses of the Covishield vaccine, he will receive a 3rd booster dose of the Covishield vaccine only.✅️

👉In heterologous boosting, a person is injected with a different vaccine from that was used for the primary dose.

🅾️ Why it can be called an ideal vaccine for future diseases?

👉iNCOVACC is a cost-effective vaccine which does not require syringes, needles, alcohol wipes, bandages, etc. This saves costs related to procurement, distribution, storage, and biomedical waste disposal, which is routinely required for injectable vaccines.

🅾️ Most importantly, it utilizes a vector-based platform, which can be easily updated with emerging variants leading to large-scale production, within a few months. These rapid response timelines combined with the ability of cost-effective and easy intranasal delivery make it an ideal vaccine to address future infectious diseases
