Would you still choose me?

—When we already know too much about each other.

—When I have already seen the sides of you that you don’t always want to show the world.

—When you have already seen the sides of me that sometimes I don’t even want to see myself.

—When the days no longer feel like something worth celebrating.

—When life starts to be filled with exhaustion, misunderstandings, and conversations that have to be put on hold because one of us is simply too tired to talk about them.

I want to be someone you still choose, even when there’s no big reason to choose me that day.

Not because I’m always the best choice, not because I’m always easy to love, but because after knowing who I truly am, you still feel that staying is something you want to do.

And I want to do the same for you. I want to get to know you, again and again.

I don't want to love only one version of you, ed.
Aku mau mengenal kamu ketika kamu berubah, ketika mimpi kamu berubah, ketika ada hal-hal baru yang kamu temukan tentang diri kamu sendiri. And I want you to know every version of me that will grow and change along the way, too.

Because I know we won't always be the same people we are today. Dan aku nggak ingin kita berjanji untuk nggak pernah berubah. Aku cuma ingin, kalau suatu hari kita berubah, kita tetap mau berhenti sebentar dan bilang,

“Hey, let's get to know each other again.”

I don't expect this relationship to always be perfect either, ed. I just hope that someday, when we're both tired, we'll still choose to communicate, learn how to apologize, learn how to forgive, and try to find our way back to each other when we start drifting too far apart.

And if I'm being honest, I don't just want to be loved. I want to be chosen, again and again. Bukan cuma ketika semuanya mudah, tapi juga ketika hari-hari sedang biasa saja, ketika aku nggak menjadi versi terbaik dari diri aku, dan ketika mencintai aku mungkin nggak selalu terasa mudah.

Kalau nanti kamu bertanya sejak kapan kamu menjadi begitu berarti dan kenapa aku mau untuk pilih kamu berkali kali, mungkin jawabannya ada di semua hal kecil yang tanpa sadar selalu mengarahkan aku kembali kepada kamu.

Five months with you may not sound like forever, but every little moment we’ve shared has become something I’ll always cherish. Thank you for the laughter, the conversations, the comfort, and even the small things you may not realize mean so much to me. I’m grateful that our paths crossed and that I get to know, care for, and choose you every day.

Thank you for continuing to be here with me, for choosing to stay through the good days and the not so good ones, for listening to me, understanding me, and being patient with me. thanks for every little effort you’ve made, every moment you’ve given me, and every time you’ve made me feel like I’m not alone. i know i may not always say it enough, but i truly appreciate everything you’ve done and everything you continue to do for us. thank you for being a part of my days, for growing with me, and for still choosing to walk beside me until now, ed.
