What to do if your computer gets hacked -
1. Stay off line as long as possible while you work on this
2. Contact your bank(s), your credit card companies, everything, let them be aware of your issue in case it's broader.
3. Contact the crypto wallet/provider/whatever.
4. Change passwords and write them down. If you used a password manager, change that password and put two-factor on it. If not supported, move to LastPass or maybe KeePass (more complicated but more secure in some sense).
5. Backup all your files somewhere else
6. Wipe the system clean - I mean, do a totally clean install of Windows, software, etc. Just make sure you have any important license keys, passwords, etc ready first.
7. Factory reset your router - I wouldn't play around with his. Might be fine, but might not be.
8. If you were doing anything illegal online, torrents of copyright stuff, bad websites, any of that, you'd best stop before you get further in the hole.
9. After reinstall, put files back, make sure to use a better browser and/or extensions/addons to protect yourself on that end. I use Brave browser with uMatrix and AdGuard mostly, currently. On Firefox, I mostly used NoScripts, but haven't used that in a while. Great addon there, but I just don't do much in FF right now.
10. Antivirus - make sure Windows Defender up to date. If you had some other trial software that came with laptop, just uninstall it, don't even bother.
1. You can use others, but make sure it's at least a big name brand or something you found good on a safe reviews website. https://www.av-comparatives.org/ \- that's a trustworthy site with very detailed reviews.
11. Keep a close eye on everything - your accounts, your computer, etc.
12. I'd shut that PC down and maybe even modem/router when not in use and you don't need it. I know that's tough today with modern tech.
13. This might be a long shot, but you could try asking for a new IP from your ISP (Internet Service Provider).
Anyway that's a start, things to think about.
