There was no targeting inside the city of Mecca.
There are two air bases located relatively close to Mecca: King Fahd Air Base in Taif and King Abdullah Air Base in Jeddah. Warplanes operate from them to carry out operations and bombardment in Yemen.
We also monitored movements of Saudi warplanes over the past few days as they took off from King Fahd Air Base in Taif toward Yemen to carry out bombardment operations.
As for Jeddah, it is administratively part of the Mecca Region, not the city of Mecca itself; therefore, it is important to distinguish between the city of Mecca and the Mecca Region when circulating these reports.
